Neighbourhood

Our house is very close to the historic village of Gibsons. You can walk to town (a beautiful stroll) in about 15 minutes, and driving will get you there in about two! Gibsons is a town of about 5,000 people with great restaurants, craft breweries and cideries, artists' studios and an amazing marina and waterfront.

Nearest airport

The closest major airport is YVR in Vancouver. From YVR (and always depending on traffic, of course), you are about an hour from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. From Horseshoe Bay, it is a 40-minute ferry ride and then a ten-minute drive to our house.

Getting around

We recommend having a car so you're able to enjoy all the Sunshine Coast has to offer. That said, there is a public bus that will bring you conveniently from the ferry terminal to a bus stop very near our house. From the property you can easily walk to the village for supplies, but options are limited within the "Lower Gibsons" village. The two major grocery stores in town (plus the butcher shop, a health food store, the BC Liquor Store and more) are in "Upper Gibsons", about a five-minute drive away.
