General overview
Located in Chelton Beach (Albany), Prince Edward Island, our oceanfront cottage sits atop red sand cliffs with beach access & beautiful ocean views. We are a short distance to Anne of Green Gables, boardwalks with fantastic seafood and shops, and many hiking/biking trails!
During lowtide the red sand beach in front of our cottage is accessible to stroll along and search for crabs or just enjoy the peacefulness of the island.
The space
The cottage is 2 bedrooms with a small bunkie separate from the main house that sleeps an additional 3. The primary bedroom has a queen bed with a half bath en-suite. The second bedroom has a double bed with a pull out trundle bed perfect for kids! Both bedrooms have large windows that face the water!
The large living area has 8 huge windows, perfect for getting a full 360 degree view of the stunning sunsets and sunrises!
There is a nice walk out deck that is off of the living room, that has a Barbecue and table and chairs for warm summer nights watching the seaside.
Guest access
The cottage is single level, however there are steps to get in.
Notes
Having a car in Prince Edward Island is highly recommended. If we do make an exchange I highly recommend renting a vehicle, that way you are free to explore all the island has to offer.

Neighbourhood
We are located in the Chelton Beach region. A quick 15 min drive to Summerside, the second largest town on the island.
Charlottetown, the capital is a 40 mins drive.
The historical site of Anne of Green Gables is only 30 mins away as well.
Actually, the island is fairly small, so most must-see sites are within an hours drive away!
There are many amazing places for eating and drinking throughout the island. Prince Edward Island offers great craft breweries to visit, fresh food spots - especially seafood (Check out Richard’s in Victoria-by-the-Sea for the BEST lobster rolls), along with grocery stores only a short drive away if you prefer to cook at home.
Getting to my home
If driving we are only 20 mins from the Confederation Bridge (which connects Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick), or a 40min drive from the Charlottetown airport if you fly into the island.
Some people even prefer to fly into Moncton, New Brunswick (1.5 hours away) and drive over to our place, as it is a bigger airport with more flight options.
Just note Prince Edward Island charges a $50 toll to cross back over the confederation bridge when heading off the island back into New Brunswick, which they use for maintenance and upkeep.

Getting around
Highly recommend a rental car to explore the entire island.

Kaley & Mike
Hi! We're Kaley and Mike and we love to travel along with our 15 year old son. I (Kaley) work in health care, specifically with premature infants in a large NICU in Toronto. While my husband Mike is a Web Designer for a major record label.
We love to escape the cold Canadian winters by heading somewhere warm, but ultimately just love to travel and explore new and exciting places.
In the summers (when not at our cottage on the East Coast of Canada in Prince Edward Island) we love to explore regions rich in culture and that have lots to see and do!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
