General overview
Our Townhome/Villa is located on Maui’s premier Wailea Blue Golf Course. Wailea is a resort community on the island of Maui. We are offering two bedrooms both with comfortable queen beds, perfect for a couple traveling alone or with their adult child. We are within walking distance to The Shops of Wailea, cafes & restaurants. We enjoy walking the golf course in the early mornings & at sunset. Fabulous weather awaits as well as water views from our ground and second floor lanais (decks). Our outdoor covered lanais are the perfect temperature all year long for outdoor dining. We whale watch right off of our lanais. Our home is not set up for children and best lends itself to a mature couple traveling alone or with an adult child.
We have a home on the mainland and use our Maui home during the winter months, from November 1-May 31st. Therefore, we are probably Not Interested in exchanging our Maui home for one in a cooler climate during this time.
The space
The villa has 2 levels with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main level is an open plan including; kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, bathroom & laundry all on the entry level. The living room has a Scandanavian leather recliner for viewing our 55" smart TV & a matching leather reclining 2 seater couch. The round indoor dining table seats 4 people comfortably. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances; dishwasher, mini espresso maker, microwave, large refrigerator and an electric stove & oven. We will leave condiments to enhance your cooking pleasure. A full size stackable washer and dryer are on the entry level. The entry lanai faces the golf course and ocean & is very quiet - we enjoy ALL of our meals outside at all times of the year. The lanai dining table seats 4 people with & has a mini wine fridge for your convenience.
Upstairs the master bedroom includes a bathroom ensuite. The upstairs lanai (deck) is off of the master suite & has 2 large recliners. It is ideal for enjoying morning coffee, relaxing and reading under the covered lanai or enjoying a sunset cocktail. Also upstairs is a 3rd bathroom with a bathtub and the 3rd bedroom which we use as our office. We will most likely lock off our office. Our home is equipped with separate air-conditioning units and controls upstairs and downstairs.
We have high speed internet. We have beach chairs, beach towels and ice chests. We do NOT provide snorkeling equipment but you can easily rent those nearby or bring your own.
The complex has a beautiful recreation area including saline pool, a separate jacuzzi tub and a fitness/work out room, all with gorgeous ocean views.
Guest access
There are half a dozen stairs leading down to our front door from the parking area and 17 stairs to reach our upper level, so our home is not wheelchair accessible.
Notes
This is our personal residence and it is not a vacation rental.
We do not use our air-conditioning as we feel there is plenty of flow through air by turning on ceiling fans and leaving all of the windows & doors open. All windows & doors are screened. Should you choose to run the air-conditioning we will pay up to $200 of the monthly utility bill. Our monthly bill is always below that. Anything over $200 will be at your expense. We request this because utility bills in Hawaii are the highest in the nation. AC when used 24/7 could run as high as $500-$600 per month! Just turn it off when you go out & it shouldn’t be that expensive.
Our home is perfect for a couple traveling alone or a with an adult family member. We have two queen beds so our home is not set up for more than four people. Our home and complex is Smoke Free. We thank you for your kind consideration! Mahalo Nui Loa!

Neighbourhood
Wailea is a quiet, resort community. Our complex is not a vacation rental complex. There is a "Quiet Time" mandate from 9 pm- 8 am. We know all of our neighbors and are respectful of them.
Getting to my home
Our home is approximately 30 minutes from the Kahului airport by car. Should you choose not to rent a car you can easily call Uber or a Taxi to our home (est. $50). Once situated, we are a 10-15 minute walk to the Shops of Wailea offering a variety of restaurants including popular Tommy Bahama.

Kahului Airport is 30 min. by car.
Getting around
Even though we are within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants, you really do need to have a car to explore Maui as the public transport system is very inefficient.
One of our cars may be available for our exchange with you.
