General overview
Brisbane - the river city with over 300 days of sunshine per year. In 2023, Brisbane was named as one of the top places to visit in 2024 by TIME magazine and the Fromers guide.
Welcome to Malanda - a sweet two-bedroom Queenslander in Enoggera in Brisbane, very close the city. We have a train close by and a bus stop at the back of the house that goes into the city. We are also open to loaning you our car.
The space
Classic two bedroom with lounge, dining, kitchen, bathroom and front office. We have a lovely front patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine and feel the breeze in summer and we also have and large back garden where you can enjoy a BBQ. Our house is air conditioned and has Wi-Fi and there is an office in the front of the house if you need to work. We have two mini schnauzers who won't be home when you stay, we also have a beautiful white Chinchilla cat who is mostly outside but does come inside to sleep. You won't need to feed her unless you want to as my neighbours can do that. This is our primary home and when we are able to travel is limited to around the Queensland School Holiday Calendar.

Neighbourhood
We love where we live, it is a leafy quite suburb but only 6 kilometers form the city and close enough to be in the city in 10-15 in an uber or on a bus or train. You can either drive to local shops or catch a bus that is a 5 minute trip. We also have a car we can let you use.
Brisbane is a beautiful modern city and our state Queensland has 300 days of Sunshine a year. We are one hour away by car for some of the best beaches in the world, to the North there is the Sunshine Coast with world-famous Noosa and the Australia Zoo (owned by Steve Irwin's family) and Underwater World at Mooloolaba. To the South is the beautiful Gold Coast which is a tourist mecca. Both the North and South Coasts have beautiful mountain hinterlands that are great to explore. Mt Tamborine is located inland of the Gold Coast and has beautiful artisan shops and cafe's and Maleny and Montville and inland of the Sunshine Coast.
In Brisbane there is plenty to see and do from the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary which is about 30 minutes from our house, the Gallery of Modern Art and Museum and soon to finished a massive new Casino in the city. There are also great plays to see at the theatre and the Queensland Ballet is beautiful to watch.
Getting to my home
The easiest way to get to our house from the airport is via taxi or uber and it takes no more than 30 minutes and costs around $50-60 AUD. You can catch an Airtrain into the city but I would not say that is convenient because you would have to train and walk to our house.

Jill was an easy guest. Communication was always smooth. She left our house clean. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to meet them but I know if we did it would have been fun to chat and listen to some music together ( they seemed to have great taste in music as they were seeing some concerts and going on a music cruise). I can definitely recommend them.
