Cute small condo on a lower level of a 2 family house in Marblehead, Mass which is a coastal town north of Boston. It is walkable to the historic Old Town area including shops and restaurants, walking trails, etc. There are 2 bedrooms, a living room, bath and small patio area. We have upstairs neighbors and welcome quiet respectful guests!
The space
As you enter the condo you come straight into the living room which has a sofa and chair and a lift-top coffee table for eating. We don't have another eating area in the place and always eat there in the living room. Off the living room is the large main bedroom which has a queen bed, two bureaus (one for guest use), and a desk and chair if needed for working. There is no closet in this room so you can use the one in the living room if needed. The kitchen is a galley kitchen and fully stocked with everything you'd need for cooking. Off that is the second smaller bedroom with a queen bed, bureau and closet. Also off the kitchen is the only bathroom which is quite small but has tons of storage. It's a shower (no tub). Out back we have a lovely little brick patio with a seating area for warmer weather.
Guest access
We have 1 parking space in our shared driveway with our neighbors. To access our unit, you come down about 8 steps between the house and driveway to the door at the bottom of the steps. The condo is a fully above-ground basement unit. We keep a lockbox on the door and provide a code on arrival day.
Notes
The house is an old 1890 house split into 2 condos. You will hear our upstairs neighbors (a lovely older couple) walking around upstairs occasionally and they can hear noise upstairs. So, we ask for only guests who are quiet and respectful at night to stay. Our neighbors go to bed early and are earlier risers.

Neighbourhood
This is a very small street in a very quiet neighborhood of Marblehead and is about a 10 minute walk to the Old Town part and about 15 minute walk down to the harbor area and the ocean. Marblehead does have a few beaches but not in walking distance (5 minute drive or so but not free parking). Marblehead is the town next to Salem (of witch fame) and is about 40 minutes north of Boston. We have the commuter train to Boston in the two towns next to us.
Getting to my home
Marblehead is a bit complicated to get to - usually you will be coming from route 95. You will certainly want to use Waze or Google Maps as there are a lot of twists and turns. The train will come to either Salem or Swampscott, both of which are next door and you could Uber to Marblehead but without a car you will miss most of the sites the coastal area offers.
Nearest airport
Boston - 40 minutes.
Getting around
You will want to have a car to explore this area. Most of the time I will not be leaving my car for guests as I will likely be in my place in Florida. If I will be traveling overseas or on a synchronous stay I may be able to leave my car.

I am a retired single woman who sometimes travels with a friend or my aunt. I have traveled for work or pleasure for many years to more than 50 countries and retired early at the end of 2020. My hope is to spend more time slow traveling and this platform seems a great way to do that while meeting like-minded people! I adore traveling to Europe, and really up for adventure most anyplace internationally. Looking forward to meeting you!

Our property is part of where Marblehead inclines uphill so the houses on our street have this unique configuration with the front of the houses (and street) uphill from the back of the houses (and yards).
