Download one of the following authenticator apps: Google Authenticator Microsoft Authenticator Authy When you log in, you may see a pop-up asking if you’d like to turn on two-factor authentication. If you’re ready to set it up, just click Enable Two-Factor Authentication Now. If the pop-up doesn’t appear, go to your profile instead. You’ll see a banner on the right inviting you to enable two-factor authentication. Click the button there to get started. A QR code will appear on your screen. Open your authenticator app on your phone. Apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy will all work. In your authenticator app, add a new account and scan the QR code. The app will instantly start generating a six-digit code for you. Enter the six-digit code into the field on the People Like Us page and select Confirm and Enable. If the code refreshes before you finish typing, simply use the new one. Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you’ll be shown a set of recovery codes. These are there for those “just in case” moments when you don’t have access to your authenticator app. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe. A password manager is ideal. When you’ve stored them, click I’ve Saved These Codes.
