General overview
Our lovely California condo has undergone a full renovation and has an industrial loft-like aesthetic. It has wood floors throughout, fresh white paint, tall ceilings and is tastefully appointed. We have a modest-sized outdoor patio (which is currently getting furnished) and a greenbelt directly in front of our home for kids to run around on. All that said, our home is unfussy, well-loved and comfortable.
The location is great for active families and couples wanting to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer. Disneyland is 15-30 mins, Legoland is 45-60 mins and amazing beaches are 15-30 mins. Our home is seated in a quiet and green area with a community pool, grill and jacuzzi. Parks, biking and hiking trails are all within short distance.
Our housekeepers will come before you arrive, every two weeks during your stay, and again when you leave so you don't have to worry about cleaning - we pay for this.
The space
Our home is approx. 1000 sq/ft. It is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a tub) and has an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. It will comfortably fit up to 4 guests
The master bedroom has a king bed with a double vanity ensuite and walk-in shower.
The children's room has bunk beds with new organic mattresses, sheets and duvets. The children’s room has a reading pillow, lots of book, toys and puzzles.
We have a modest-sized front patio. We're currently in the process of furnishing the patio with privacy plants, an outdoor dining space etc. We are working on getting a few small herbs and plants going so feel free to pick anything you want from our plants.
Our home has WiFi in every area. We have one TV in the living room. And we have a decent number of board games.
Kitchen was fully renovated in 2020. We love to cook, so we have lots of kitchen accessories, including a Blendtec blender, Instant Pot and cast iron skillets.
We have a detached shared garage for 1 car. It has remote control entry. There is street parking for any additional cars.
CLEANING: As a host welcoming you into our home, we believe it's in the spirit of home exchange to take care of our own home. We therefore clean our home before you arrive and after you leave. We do ask that a few things be attended to when you leave (eg strip beds of sheets, take bins outside, turn lights/AC off etc) but our cleaner will visit after an exchange.

Notes
Please note that we do not have a microwave (by choice).
We do have AC and central heating but one of the good things about Southern California is when the sun goes down, so does the temperature. We rarely use our AC at night for this reason.

There is something for everyone- foodies can find tons of Asian food in Irvine, a cute downtown area in Old Town Tustin, hip dining options in Downtown Santa Ana, and world class entertainment/beaches in Newport and Laguna Beach. Disneyland has never been closer and you can find yourself at the beach in 15 minutes if traffic is good!
Getting around
You will need to bring or rent a car. In Southern California, you really do need one to get around. Public transportation is very limited. That said, Uber services Irvine and is convenient and generally arrives in a reasonable timeframe.
