General overview

Warm, spacious and comfortable house, in a pleasant area. In summer, you will love enjoying the swimming pool and in winter, the spa! Close to all services, and a short distance from the region's attractions. Two ski resorts nearby, respectively 15 minutes and 40 minutes from the house.

The space

Visit the “Best Destination in Canada” according to Travel & Leisure :) We offer you our large single-storey house that can comfortably accommodate 8 people, with its 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is a large, fully equipped kitchen, very bright with its fully windowed wall. The ground floor also has a dining room, a complete bathroom with bath and separate shower, the living room, with its gas fireplace, a small office and two bedrooms each with a double bed. In the basement are the two other bedrooms, each with a double bed, a full bathroom with shower, a games room area for your children (impressive quantity of board games, fans take note!), a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer, as well as a home theater room. In summer, you will love enjoying the swimming pool and eating outside on the terrace. A BBQ is at your disposal, as well as a trampoline for children. Bicycles are also available for 3 adults and 2 older children. The spa (jacuzzi), finally, is functional all year round. For a perfect moment of relaxation! Our car is a 7-seater Honda Odyssey with automatic transmission, ideal for the family! We also have two adorable indoor cats, Léo and Luna, who will require a little care (food, cleaning the litter box). They are very sociable and used to children. Also plan some regular (very simple) tasks for maintaining the pool and spa.

Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is quiet and family-friendly, very green and pleasant. A short drive away there is access to a small shopping center with supermarket and pharmacy. Several parks for children nearby and gourmet restaurants in the nearby Limoilou district or in the Upper Town or Lower Town districts. In winter, Quebec offers the possibility of many easily accessible activities: sliding, skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more. You can also do downhill skiing at the Relais (15 min) or at the Mont-Ste-Anne resort (40 min). In summer, the whole range of nature activities are possible within a short distance: road or mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, rafting, hiking, etc. Old Quebec, its ramparts and its famous Château Frontenac are 15 minutes away by car, or easily accessible by bus. In the city center, museums, market, citadel, Plains of Abraham, Petit-Champlain district are worth the detour: Quebec fully deserves its place on the UNESCO world heritage list! You can also quickly access from the house the Île d'Orléans (20 min), the Jacques-Cartier national park (30 min) and its numerous hiking trails, as well as the bordering regions of the Côte- de-Beaupré, Portneuf or Chaudière-Appalaches. And by continuing a little further, you can observe whales in Tadoussac (3 hours) or take a trip to Montreal (2.5 hours).

Virginie

We are a small family of 5: Martin, Virginie and the children, Victor, Pénélope and Antonin, aged 11 to 15. Having traveled with our respective families during our childhood, we want to offer the same opportunity to our children. After a first family trip to Italy in summer 2017, we wanted to continue exploring the world while providing others with the opportunity to discover our “beautiful province”. We have had several wonderful exchanges since then and have fallen in love with this mode of travel! Looking forward to reading you! Please note that we have two adorable cats, Léo and Luna, who will require a little care from you, but who will thank you with lots of cuddles!
