Neighbourhood
I am two blocks from the Claremont Hotel (part of the Fairmont chain) and La Fournée (one of the best bakeries in the Bay Area). My area is known for hidden pedestrian paths and staircases down to restaurants and shopping, or go for a hike in the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve. It's a tight knit community mostly filled with faculty from the university and retired professionals, though there are also some families on our block with young children.

Oakland International Airport (13 miles), San Francisco International Airport (25 miles)
Getting around
I am 15 minutes walking from the nearest bus stop and 25 min from the nearest metro station (Rockridge BART). You can walk to boutique shopping/dining within blocks from the house. Lyft and Uber are options for further distances. You could also rent a car or I may be able to leave a car for you.
