Are you looking for a nice getaway retreat close to Seattle but away from all the noise and traffic? Do you also love wine tasting? Then a visit to Woodinville is a must! Woodinville is just a short 20 minute drive to Seattle. Whether you are a couple looking for a romantic, relaxing getaway, or a family looking to experience Seattle and the surrounding areas, this place is perfect for all your needs. Our neighborhood is quiet, safe, beautiful and a great place for going on leisurely walks down the street, or just a 1 minute drive into town. Woodinville boasts 118 wineries and tasting rooms, 14 microbreweries, distilleries, and cideries all within a 5 mile radius of our house. Woodinville is a premier wedding venue due to the natural beauty and is a unique blend of rural agricultural/farming land, equestrian, and residential community mixed with wineries, restaurants, parks, and a downtown area. There is hot air ballooning right down the street from us. We are a 1 minute drive to Chateau St. Michelle Winery, Columbia Winery, RedHook Brewery, JM Cellars, world famous farm to table restaurant The Herb Farm, Barking Frog, Willows Lodge and Spa (a top wedding destination), and Woodinville lavender farm. There are restaurants to fit every budget, and tons of parks and things for kids to do if you are traveling as a family. Many of my neighbors have horses on their properties, and you will often see horses walking right past our front window. Just down our street we have a big red Melissa and Doug style barn with 3 horses that our kids love to walk to and say hi to. If you love bicycling or walking, our house is also just a 5 minute walk to the tolt pipeline trail which connects to the scenic Sammamish River trail. And that’s all within 5 minutes of our house.
Locomoção
Although we are very close to shops and the wine village, we are situated on top of a steep hill and so I recommend to either bike or drive (keeping in mind that if you bike it is a short and fun ride down, but you will have a steep hill to come up on the way back).
