General overview
Cosy city center apartment in the heart of Stockholm. We have a 70sqm (750 Sq ft), two bedroom apartment with idyllic balcony.
The space
Cosy city center apartment in the heart of Stockholm. We have a 70sqm (750 Sq ft), two bedroom apartment with idyllic balcony. We have one young son so the apartment has toys and is kid friendly to those traveling with young ones- but also very calm and suitable to those without. Our large bathroom is fitted with both a bathtub, and a shower. We also have a washing machine available and easy to use.
In the master bedroom is a kingsize bed, then in the second bedroom is a double size bed. Our living room couch also converts to a double size bed and we have a mattress topper specially for that to make it comfortable. Should you need it, we have a travel drive available as well.
We have lots of sunlight in the afternoon so an afternoon “Fika” (coffee and pastry) is perfect on the balcony. We also have an enclosed courtyard with small playground and sandboxes for kids and a terrace/deck with charcoal grills for those avid BBQ’ers (we also have an electric grill on our balcony free to use).
In our area in an amazing waterfront park, three of our favorite indoor/outdoor restaurants (not to menu one MANY other restaurants within the nearby blocks), and an awesome walking path along the river. Within about a 15 min walk is the beautiful Stockholm city hall, which is a fixture of the Stockholm skyline. From there, the “downtown” and “old town” of Stockholm is only about a further 10-15 min walk down the path.
Side note: for kid things
We have strollers (bugaboo donkey, maclaren, and Thule) which can be arranged to be used if requested and discussed. We also have a wall mounted changing table in the bathroom - not in the way for those who don’t need it, but convenient for those who do. If you need something kid related, just ask, we probably have it!
Guest access
We are situated on the 4th floor and can be accessed via a large elevator or about 100 steps. There are no steps required to get into our apartment, and a separate no steps needed access to the courtyard is also available so we are fully accessible.

Getting to my home
Our apartment is incredibly accessible and situated close to public transportation. We are within a nice walk of all city center attractions and also across the street from one of the underground hubs as well as major city bus interchange.
From the airport, you have a few options:
- a taxi will be about 60 euros plus tip and will get you door to door
- Arlanda express high speed train will get you from the airport to central station. From central station, you can Uber (5 min ish), get a bus (approx 10 min), or walk (20-25 min ish). This is somewhere around 30 euros per person just for the high speed train.
- the Flybussarna (flying bus) from the airport directly to the Friedhemsplan bus stop which is out our front door and across the street. This is about 10 euros per adult and I think kids are free with adult tickets. *if. It taking a taxi, we HIGHLY suggest this method**
Nearest airport
Arlanda is the main airport for Stockholm and is about a 45 minute drive north of the city.
A small city center airport called Bromma is also available but this mainly serves only Swedish domestic flights.
Skavsta is also advertised as a Stockholm airport however, that is a bit deceiving as it is about a 2 hour drive south of the city.
