General overview

This house has all the charm of the countryside of south-west France. Ocher stone house, in the heart of the village of Bruniquel. It is a pedestrian village, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, with its medieval streets and its castle. Very quiet and very pleasant, it is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The space

The house is in the heart of the village, very easy to access (parking possible in the immediate vicinity). It is entirely in stone and wood. It is an old house, which gives it its charm, and very carefully decorated and maintained. An entrance hall serves the living space and the garden located below the house (stairs). The living space consists of an equipped kitchen, open to a dining area and a living room with a beautiful fireplace and a sofa bed (if additional beds are needed). Also on this floor, a very bright bathroom with bathtub, toilets and a rest room. A wooden staircase leads upstairs where there is a large open bedroom on the mezzanine with a large double bed and a second smaller closed bedroom. Below the house, there is access by stairs to a small garden with a large covered terrace area (equipped with a barbecue).

Guest access

The house has three floors. A garden below, a ground floor and an upper floor where the bedrooms are located. There is no step to enter the house, but you can access the floor of the bedrooms and the garden by stairs (in stone or wood). The house, like the village as a whole, is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or who have difficulty moving around. No problem for the reception of children, even babies, provided you watch the children near the stairs.

Notes

It is an ideal house if you are looking for a quiet countryside area and an unspoilt village. Lovers of nature and old stones will be delighted.

Neighbourhood

The house is in the center of the village. Small grocery store 50 meters away, restaurants in the village. It is a small historic village, very calm and peaceful, made up of small streets that are often steep. Many walks in the surrounding nature, small river to cool off in summer less than 10 minutes walk from the house. All around the village, superb region with many historic villages, castles, the Tarn gorges, preserved forests... 30 minutes by car, the historic town of Montauban. At 1h30, the great metropolis of Toulouse and its airport.

Getting around

Access is imperative by car, the village is not served by transport. On site grocery / bakery 2 minutes walk from the house. Several restaurants also in the village less than 5 minutes walk from the house. Large regional market of Saint-Antonin Noble Val 25 minutes by car through the countryside. Supermarket 12 minutes by car (Negrepelisse). All shops and services in Montauban 30 minutes by car. Airport and city of Toulouse at 1h30 by car.
