General overview
Our home is an original to this Atlanta neighborhood which was built almost 100 years ago, so you have a chance to experience a little piece of Atlanta history. The charming brick home has three bedrooms and one bathroom as well as two sitting rooms, a dining room, and an updated kitchen (I love to cook!). You also have access to a full-sized washer and dryer in case you need to do a bit of laundry. In addition to the comfortable interior, you'll have access to our gardened backyard with lawn space, swing, dining table, and native landscaping. It's an oasis within the the city!

And we typically keep a little flock of quail, so if you'd like fresh eggs they'll likely be available. But don't worry, they can manage themselves while we're away. It's an oasis within the the city!
Guest access
The home is a single level, but there are driveway stairs leading up to the house (alas, the driveway is too narrow for most cars). But on-street parking is readily available.

Neighbourhood
Our home is situated in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta, a prime location within walking distance of dining and city sights but with a distinct neighborhood feel (think sidewalks, trees, parks, and playgrounds). We love that we can access anything we want by foot, including numerous excellent restaurants, multiple grocery stores, a pharmacy, banks, playgrounds, and public transportation.
Additionally, an entrance to Piedmont Park (the "Central Park" of Atlanta) is a couple of minutes by foot from our front door. In this beautiful green space, you can enjoy biking, lake fishing, hikes or strolls, playgrounds, a splash pad, a public swimming pool, ball fields, circuit training equipment, picnics, and even a Saturday farmer's market.
Bus stops for multiple bus lines are located within a 5-10 minute walk of our home and will connect you to almost every major sights in Atlanta including the Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, The Center for Civil and Human Rights, World of Coca-Cola, Centennial Olympic Park, the Margaret Mitchell House, and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.
We hope you love the convenience and neighborhood charm that Morningside offers as much as we do!
Getting around
Atlanta said to be a car-centric city, but our location makes having a car optional. You can access all of your basic needs withing 10 minutes by foot (grocery, post office, pharmacy, restaurants). Traveling by bike on protected bike lanes further extends your range for restaurants and sites. Additionally, two city buses are located 1-2 blocks away and these will connect you to the city's rail lines.

Arielle
Arielle works virtually as a math tutor, Logan works in the legal field, and our daughter is looking forward to starting first grade (2019). We've traveled as a family in the US, Europe, and Asia and really enjoy scenic areas, spending time outdoors, and exploring new cities and villages. For long-haul travel, we prefer to spend several weeks in a destination so we can really settle into the rhythm of life there. We also really like to be able to invite family with us on trips, so we often travel with another couple (usually our parents or sisters). Logan and I have studied French and would always love to practice the language. We're open to a variety of destinations and generally like to plan far-away holidays about a year in advance (my sister think's I'm crazy, but I like to look forward to a trip!).
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
