Country living at its best, we have a spacious single story 5 bedroom home, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms. Light filled living areas
You can relax by our large heated pool, play games on the expansive lawn area. We are located in the heart of the Milawa Gourmet Region of North East Victoria, with plenty wineries, local food produce, close to the snow fields, bushwalking & water sports available close by. One winery is just 700m down the lane which is set on the beautiful King River.

Quiet, country but only 10 mins drive to the main town with all the shopping, restaurants you need.
Bike trails, bush walking close by. We live in the middle of the Milawa Gourmet region with lots of wineries, food suppliers, cafes
Approx 2.5 hrs drive from Melbourne & Airport, easily accessible by car or train.
*Visit historic towns -
Beechworth 20mins drive - famous for Beechworth Bakery, Beechworth Brewery and a lovely country town. Stanley - Apples available during Autumn, winter
Bright - gateway to the Alpine areas only 60min drive. Beautiful town on the Ovens river, very popular all year round.
Mount Buffalo has lots of walking/hiking trails - 60mins
Glenrowan 10 mins - the place of Ned Kelly's last stand - see the huge statue, visit the lolly shop and small retailers.
King Valley wine region - 45 mins drive providing plenty of family owned wineries and a pretty area. Visit Paradise falls, Lake William Hovell for fishing, kayaking, walking.
Wangaratta 10 mins - has all the shopping you could need, 3 supermarkets, plenty of retailers and yummy restaurants to suit all tastes. There is a sports and aquatic centre with indoor & outdoor pools, gym plus other sports facilities. Skate parks, Apex park has a great playground & Parkour and lovely area for picnics.
Getting to my home
From Melbourne 2.5 hours drive or train to Wangaratta.
Car is essential for our area, we are happy to offer our 5 seater car and can drop it at the Wangaratta Train station for you or even Melbourne Airport for a recipical swap.

We had such a wonderful few days staying in Emma and Dan's beautiful home! It was truly paradise to wake up to the birds, spend our days enjoying their heated pool and their great property with lots of space for kids to play. It felt like we were away from it all but we were close to everything we needed and there was plenty to explore in the local area. We particularly like wandering down the lane to the winery! Thank you so much for having us stay, I'd highly recommend PLUers visiting this little slice of paradise if you get the opportunity! -
We loved our country stay at Emma's house in Oxley. Emma's recommendation for local activities were spot on and we had the best time! Looking forward to having Emma and her family to stay in Sydney next time we go away and our house is free!

We are newbie's to the exchange program, we are an adventurous, quiet family who loving travelling and spending time together. We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 teenagers (2 don't are starting to not travel with us, sighting its 'better hanging out with my friends than family'. So usually its just my hubby & I plus 2 teenage daughters.
