General overview
We live in a small town in Northwest Indiana. The city closest to us is Crown Point and it has a beautiful downtown area. Lots of incredible restaurants and little shops all around the picturesque courthouse square.
We are an hour outside of Chicago so you can easily day trip to do fun Chicago things but still have a safe, quiet neighborhood to come back to. We are also about 45 minutes from the Indiana Dunes National Park which has amazing beaches all along Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan is so vast that you truly feel like you are at the ocean and it's also a great way to spend a day.
We also have a local children's discovery center (Bellaboos), a waterpark (Deep River Waterpark), and splash pads that are all perfect for families with children. There is tons to due in this area locally or within an hour drive.
In the fall months we have apple orchards and pumpkin patches nearby.
The space
We live in a tri-level, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom. Our house is on .6 acres and has lake views out the back. We have a beautiful back patio with a built in grill and gorgeous landscaping.
The main living area is open concept and spacious and we have a second living area in the basement. We have 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and a crib available.

Neighbourhood
We live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. We have lake views out the back of our property. The grocery stores and shopping areas are 10 minutes away.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is Chicago flying into Midway or O'Hare. Both are about 1-1.5hr drive away depending on traffic. Would need a car to get here from the airport.
Getting around
A car will be needed. We could have one of our cars available but you would also need a car to get to and from the airport so renting a car might be preferred.
