Neighbourhood

The road up to the house from the main center road is gravel. You will find lots of wildlife and beautiful views. In the winter, guests should have an all-wheel vehicle in the event of snow or ice. The village of Angel Fire does a great job of plowing the roads but it's also a good idea to have chains in the event of unusual snow. We have always been fine just with our all-wheel drive vehicle.

Nearest airport

Taos Airport is seasonal with limited flights (Taos Air). The best airports are ABQ and Santa Fe.

Getting around

Angel Fire has a number of restaurants. For a special meal, we typically drive to Taos. You can combine this with a trip to see the Rio Grande Gorge, many art galleries, and the Kit Karson Museum.
