General overview
We live in a lovely bright and spacious apartment on the edge of Dublin City Centre. You really get the best of both worlds surrounded by 3 beautiful parks as well as being 10 minutes away from the vibrant cultural city centre of Dublin. We love living here with our dog!
The space
The kitchen living dining room is open plan. It has beautiful views out towards the Pheonix Park and the War Memorials Gardens on two sides. The open plan layout makes the apartment very bright and spacious. We have one large bedroom, as well as one spacious bathroom with a bath/shower combination. This apartment has a very large west facing balcony which is the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset on a summer evening.

Our apartment is on the 5th floor of our building with elevator access. Fully wheelchair accessible apartment.

Neighbourhood
We live in a friendly neighbourhood right on the edge of Dublin City Centre. Our apartment building is built in an area which was historically a military barracks, the historic buildings have been very well restored and new apartment buildings built between. There are many large parks within 5 minutes walk. The Pheonix Park is the largest park in Dublin and is a beautiful place to explore. The Irish Museum of Modern Art (10 minute walk) is set in very nice ornamental gardens. There are many different walks and hikes to do directly from our doorstep.
The Dublin Mountains are only a 20 minute drive away. The Wicklow Mountains, including the popular Glendalough, is only 45 minute drive away. There are many beautiful hiking places to explore from our apartment.
If you are looking for culture there is a lot to find in Dublin, many museums, music venues and many nice restaurants to be found here. You can walk to the city centre in 20 minutes, or take a 10 minute bus journey. Dublin city is a very nice smaller European city to explore.
Getting to my home
We live 30 minutes from the airport by taxi, or by bus. There are many public transport routes from where we live. A frequent bus service will bring you to the city centre in 10 minutes. Heuston Station is a 10 minute walk away. From here there are many trains and buses to the west of Ireland, Cork, Galway, Kerry, and Limerick.
