General overview

A beautiful Melbourne terrace house just 20 minutes from the city and two minute walk from the lively Chapel Street in South Yarra which offers amazing restaurants, bars, the infamous Prahran market, parks & lake. Our two bedroom house is very modern, clean and convenient for a Melbourne city stay. One bedroom has a queen size bed and then we have a second bedroom which is a pull out type double bed and mattress (it is very comfortable!) We are a very friendly, loyal and respectful couple in our 30s who are currently working from home and have the two bedrooms set up as a work from home setup with great standing desks and monitors for anyone looking to do a work from home swap. We also have a fireplace for the cold winter months and a medium-sized courtyard and a nice private front area to sit out with a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine. We are a stone throw away from the Prahran Market and very close to the lively Chapel Street yet we benefit from not hearing any noise in the night time. It’s the perfect balance of cozy quiet home and close to busy Melbourne. We do have a mini groodle called Tommy, he is very docile & hypoallergenic and does not shed hair, bark or cause ANY issues or damage. He is not your average pet because you barely know he is there. We would love to take him with us for any trips we can go by car or we will arrange for him to be minded by friends of ours! If we don't drive to our swap, we are also open to a car swap so you can go on day trips outside of Melbourne, maybe to the yarra valley winery just 1 hour drive! No smoking please !

Getting around

chapel street is very walkable (2 mins to get onto chapel street) The city is best by train from South Yarra station and then just 8 minutes on the train If we are not driving to your house then you can use our car & We also have 2 bikes that you can use for your stay !!

We are a couple in our 30s who love to travel and visit new places! Sara is Irish from Dublin and Stefan is from Adelaide! Stefan and Sara both work in data teams for tech companies and so we both work from home from Melbourne but our offices are actually in Sydney so we are looking to do a few swaps to visit our teams now that the world is open again :D We love good coffee, pastries and french restaurants and have a great list of coffee and food recommendations near us for when you come to stay ! For swaps driving distance to Melbourne, we would love to bring our groodle! he is the best behaved dog who does not shed hair, bark, get up on furniture or damage anything! He is invisible.
