Cumberland is a charming town located on Vancouver Island, on the Canadian Pacific Coast. Surrounded by a luscious temperate rain forest, beaches, mountains, lakes and oceans. It truly is a nature and wildlife lover's paradise!
The space
The cottage is a luminous, one-floor, open space carriage house, with one bright and lofty Queen-size bed room. It is the second dwelling on a property with a beautiful garden. It has all the amenities: full kitchen, shower, washer/dryer on site, Wifi, a piano, etc. A very humble and comfortable place to land after a day of adventuring around the island.
Mostly suited for 2 people, the cottage could potentially accommodate small children in the living room space.
Guest access
Ground Level, One-Floor, Accessible through the backyard of the main property. A few rocky steps on the way.
Notes
*Non-Smoking Home
*No loud parties allowed!
It is a quiet family neighbourhood that tends to go to bed early and rise up early to seize the day.
*Because of allergies, pets are unfortunately not allowed
(Sadly! Because I really do love furballs!)

Getting around
Although having a vehicle is highly recommended to access the wilder, outdoor attractions in the area, getting around the cities can be done without a car (I don't have a car!).
There are shuttle services for-hire that can pick you up from the Airport and drive you to Cumberland for about $40CAD per person (reserve ahead). A taxi will bring you to Cumberland for about $50-60CAD.
If your flight schedule allows it, there is also a Public Transit Bus going by the airport from 7am to 10pm that will bring you downtown Courtenay, the nearest town, and with options to transfer onto a bus towards Cumberland. All is dependent of your ETA. Schedules are limited to daytime hours and there is no service on civic holidays.
