Neighbourhood
We are centrally located, 5 min to the next underground station, but still in a very quiet and calm surrounding, with squirrels playing in the large garden. It's like a green haven in the middle of Munich.
Butcher, baker, fruit shop, pharmacy, hair dresser ... all shops can be reached within a 10-15 min walk, or even quicker by bike. A huge park (Westpark) is just around the corner, with a nice beer garden, different playgrounds (one with a huge water slide), open air cinema in summer..., and Munich center can be reached in 12 min.
Getting around
The next underground station is 5 min away; Munich has a brilliant public transport system, very easy to use. We have bikes in several sizes that we are happy to share, going around by bike in Munich is also convenient, most streets have cycle paths.
In about 20 min you reach the Bavarian Alps and the difference lakes surrounding Munich.
Salzburg in Austria can be reached in about 1 hour. Location is excellent to discover more of Bavaria.
