Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet family oriented neighborhood. Our home is at the end of a cul du sac so it gets very little traffic. Plenty of off and on street parking.

Nearest airport

Both San Francisco and San Jose International Airports are within 30 minute drive. Oakland is a bit further but very doable.

Getting around

A car is recommended although Caltrain is nearby and will take you to San Jose or San Francisco. You can easily walk to down town Los Altos where there are many notable restaurants and boutique shops. Uber. Lyft and other ride share options are reliable and plentiful. Bicycling is easy (it's flat) but we do not have any to offer at this time.

We are a younger retired couple with 2 adult children. We spend a lot of time traveling and have homes in the San Francisco Bay Area of California and Valencia, Spain. We enjoy cooking, music, and art. Occasionally we travel with our adult children but more often it is the 2 of us (due to their work schedules) or us plus another couple. We bought our apartment in Valencia, Spain as a vacation home and a base to explore Europe. Last minute travel tends to suit us better as we prefer being more spontaneous. We generally don't know our plans more than 6 months out.
