Neighbourhood
In our neighborhood, you will find fishing, hiking, peace, and quiet. We do have a few neighbors, please remain respectful of their space. Our cabin is in the Hiawatha National Forest. The nearby town of Munising (30 minutes drive) has 2 full service supermarkets, restaurants, mini-golf, ice cream shops, and the Pictured Rocks National Park, which is a must see. You can hike and see it from land, or take several types of boat tours (boat, kayak, etc) to see the cliffs from the lakeside. Lots to do in the area, including boat rentals, river and lake kayaking, beach, wineries, breweries, etc within an hour.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is in Escanaba (ESC), approximately one hour away. The nearest international airport is probably Green Bay, WI (3 hours); Milwaukee, WI (4.5 hours); Chicago, IL (6 hours); Detroit (6.5 hours); or Minneapolis, MN (6.5 hours).
Getting around
30 minutes to a small town with shops, restaurants, breweries, grocery. The same town has Pictured Rocks National Park, which is amazing, and the entire area has many hikes, waterfalls, lakes, and more to enjoy.
