Sligo is a friendly town, with great music pubs, lots of welcoming coffee shops and restaurants, quality traditional shops. The Wild Atlantic Way is here on our doorstep, dozens of beautiful beaches, lakeside and mountain walks. The beaches at Rosses Point and Strandhill are less than 5 miles from town. This is Yeats Country with lots of theatre, art centres & galleries, craft shops. Year round festivals for everyone: traditional music, Yeats Summer School, choral and theatre festivals. Sligo is a place that attracts many writers, musicians and artists to live here. The most beautiful landscapes in Ireland provide the setting for surfing, sailing, golfing and other sports activities. Donegal, Mayo and Leitrim are a short drive away.
Sligo is varied and vibrant. Lots of wonderful beaches for surfing, swimming. There are beautiful walks from the apartment along the Garavogue River leading up to Lough Gill.
Buses on your door. Train station is just 10 minute walk. Taxi ranks are 2 minute walk away.
Car parking is 2 minutes away at very reasonable rates of €3 - €4 for the whole day. The Glasshouse Hotel opposite the apartment offer excellent, flexible weekly arrangements for parking.
