Our homely 1 bed flat is situated on the 18th floor of a new build with day time concierge and security system, in East London. Neighbouring with Canary Wharf, a well-developed financial district in London, our home has access to London’s stunning skyline and 24/7 view of docks and skyscrapers, conveniently.
We are currently seeking a similar home in or near Paris where my boyfriend and I can celebrate Christmas this year while visiting his family. If you have something suitable to offer, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
The development is so well located that it takes you literally 30 seconds to reach the nearest public transportation - a DLR station (London’s railway system) & a bus stop that can take you to pretty much everywhere in London.
Luckily enough, we have lift access, bike storage and concierge on site - not so common in London.
We have a Vietnamese cafe and a bubble tea shop right at our doorstep. How cool?! Besides, there are also a barbershop, a nail salon and more. Plus, they are all closer than the bus and DLR station mentioned above!
*We’ll be away in August for 9 days too so the swap doesn’t have to be simultaneous (perfect for non-reciprocal)*
Cupboard / drawers
Good public transport
Step free access
Unsuitable for infants under 2
Unsuitable for children ages 2-12
"Although known as a business and finance area, Canary Wharf is one of those places where you can get that dreamy apartment with one of the most perfect views ever. While it may not be a popular tourist attraction, it’s definitely a place to come when you’re in need of some extraordinary sights of the city. And, of course, being surrounded by water doesn’t hurt either." - SPOTAHOME
London City Airport (LCY) is only 15 minutes away (door to door). Hop on the DLR train at our doorstep and you’ll get there with no hassle!
Plenty of options here, ranging from French and Italian to Sushi and Chinese (we have a large Chinese/Asian community here so it can only be a heaven for foodies!)
Canary Wharf has a ton of shopping centres - it makes us confused or lost sometimes as they all are insanely huge.
Bit of culture
Want to learn about the capital’s story from the beginning to modern times? This is the place to be! Although Canary Wharf might feature modern buildings, you can definitely get an entire history lesson of London from the Museum of London Docklands.
Walks in the park
You'll discover a variety of monuments and parks and it’s definitely an area where you can take a relaxing walk on the walkway and admire the stunning views of the River Thames.
Spot of exercise
Literally everywhere! Take a morning jog by the dock - it's super common here. Seagulls, water, boats,... it's a perfect place to relax!
The Mudchute park is known as London’s city farm and a place where you can visit over 100 animals which include British rare breeds. The 32 acre site is open to the public and it’s been around since 1977!

Alexandre (29) and I (22) are an intercultural couple based in London. He was born and bred in Paris whereas I come from Shanghai, China. We have travelled to several countries together and look forward to connecting with people from all cultural backgrounds through home exchange.
