Overlooking lagoon with private pool, moments from white sand beach, golf, shopping and surfing
We live in a new waterfront home with swimming pool; close to white sand beaches, a world-class golf course, local shopping, restaurants and two international resort-style hotels. The house is very light with an open-plan design incorporating a granite/stainless steel kitchen, living area, indoor and outdoor dining areas plus a terrace overlooking the pool and lagoon. There are 3 bedrooms plus a separate fully equipped office, 2 bathrooms with spa bath, a double garage and air-conditioning. This is our main home, used for home exchanging but never rented.
The house is one storey with no stairs.
We have exchanged homes over 80 times since 2000. The concept has brought us many new friends and provided opportunities to explore some wonderful places; often far away from the usual tourist areas. After so many swaps, we understand the importance of caring for other people’s property and possessions. This house is our main residence and never rented, but used to accommodate home exchangers. However, we have another home, so non-simultaneous swaps are easy for us to arrange at any time. The house is an adults only environment. We do have a rather independent cat who will only be at home for simultaneous exchanges.
Twin Waters is on the Sunshine Coast, only 10 minutes drive to Mooloolaba and Maroochydore, 25 minutes to Noosa and 1 hour to Brisbane. Just a few minutes walk from our home is the Twin Waters Golf Course where kangaroos can be seen grazing at the end of the day. We are close to Mudjimba beach, a stunning strip of white sand, stretching 8 kilometres from the Maroochy River to the Palmer Beach Resort at Coolum. The area is a walkers paradise with dedicated paths for pedestrians and bikes. The Sunshine Coast has some excellent restaurants (try "The Boat Shed" on the river at Maroochydore and "High Tide" beside Mudjimba beach), great shopping - including the markets of Eumundi and the craft stores of the mountain villages - fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, sailing and other sporting facilities. A 30 minute drive will take you to the Blackall Range for some dramatic terrain and spectacular views of mountains, valleys, rainforests and the Pacific Ocean. Whilst 3 hours to the north is Fraser Island with its acclaimed golden beaches - and Hervey Bay for whale watching. We are close to Sunshine Coast Airport which has regular low-cost services with Virgin and Jetstar direct to Sydney and Melbourne as well as a seasonal Air New Zealand service to Auckland. Brisbane International Airport is an hour away with a shuttle bus service to our home
A car is necessary to get around and we have a Nissan Juke for the use of our exchangers.
