General overview

Our house is 3.5 miles (7 minute drive) from the beautiful Artist town of Idyllwild. Fabulous galleries, restaurants and live music most nights. See some fabulous restaurants here: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/southern-california/discover-delicious-local-restaurants-in-a-small-mountain-town-in-so-cal/?fbclid=IwAR0OJnevhPcC1Jaqx2eFlUgKl0iR-N-tvvAOj1oULYi2DvCrlefAZfqJRWs Our place is on the national forest with amazing sunset views and hiking trails right outside our door. Idyllwild is touted as being a top art destination in America. You can explore many art gallery's, a local art/winery, hiking, rock climbing, the Idyllwild Nature Center, our Historical Museum and live music at one of the many fabulous restaurants in town. See this link: https://medium.californiasun.co/idyllwild-is-a-small-town-antidote-to-city-life-in-southern-california-3dffe9e3f0f8 If you love the outdoors and you’re craving a dose of fresh air and mountain scenery, then you’ll have to take some time to explore this paradise. FYI....Lots to see on youtube about idyllwild. The link below is not ours. It gives a nice review of what Idyllwild has to offer. Sorry to say, Ideology, one of the restaurant's featured is closed. ; - ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jil_zCKWRMQ

The space

One level, approx 1000 sq ft with an open floor plan. There are 2 bedrooms one with a queen bed the other has two singles. The house sits at the back of a long drive way and boarders the national forest. There is no street noise and it's is very quiet! Lot's of lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy nature in the forest. There is a seating area in the garden, a picnic table in under trees and a table on the back porch w/ umbrellas for shade. We have a bean bag toss, checker, backgammon, dice, cards, remote control car, hula-hoops. We spend as much time as possible in Idyllwild and are open to hosting both when we are there and when we are not. We enjoy hosting and meeting people from all over the world.

Guest access

A lock box, if we are not there to personally greet you. The house is a single level with easy access. A few stair to enter. We may to be there to show you around and answer any questions you may have. We will always be available by phone. Also, we have friends and neighbors near by that can help if you need something.

Notes

I have a masseuses who will come to the house if you want a massage. We are not into TV. Thus, we do not have cable. We do have internet so you can watch movies on netflix and there is a DVD player. You will need to log your phone on to the internet to get phone reception. The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), a 2,600 mile hike from Mexico to Canada, goes though the town of Idyllwild at about mile 170. In 2019, we hosted 19 hikers, from all over the world and enjoy sharing meals, hearing their stories and energy they bring to our life.
