From the house, one is able to explore North East Tasmania with day trips, or go further afield to more distant places like Freycinet NP, Cradle Mountain and Lake Dove.

All rooms are spacious and furnished invitingly.
It is a short walk from the street to the five steps to the front door. Guests have the option of using the large guest room on street level, or the other bedrooms upstairs. A bricked parking area leads to a single garage underneath.

Close to the touristy Cataract Gorge, and walking distance to the city centre for those who are moderately fit.. Shady park opposite. It is a quick walk or drive 'downtown' to all the shopping one could want, numerous cafes and some good quality restaurants.

Airport is fifteen minutes away. Flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The Spirit of Tasmania ferries dock at Devonport, 100 KMs to the west.
We are two/three hours north of Hobart.

We have done numerous house exchanges of long and short terms, both within Australia and overseas, and enjoyed them all (60 in Total)
We have lived in Tasmania now for 20 years, after joining our daughter and family in Launceston. She has a son who is 20 and daughter who is 17. Our son lives with his wife and 10 year old twins and toddler 2, on the Sunshine Coast. We enjoy being with our family.
Maree enjoys her garden.
Alan & Maree worked in accountancy all their working lives, and have now retired.
They are also keen motorhomers, with Alan building them. Our latest one was finished Oct 2020.
