General overview
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood on a beautiful street close to parks, a large open space with a lake and 3 miles from the beach. We are less than 12 miles from downtown Santa Barbara, 7 minutes to UCSB and in walking/biking distance to grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. Our home has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice outside space with fruit trees and a covered patio. This is an ideal space for families with children as we have a crib and a playroom, flat streets for bike riding and a park/playground very close by.
Goleta is just north of Santa Barbara up the 101 freeway. It is a laid-back town that surrounds UCSB and has many beaches, open spaces, parks and restaurants/coffee shops. It's easy to explore the Solvang/Santa Ynez Valley which are just over the mountains from us.
The space
We have five bedrooms and two baths. The master has a king size bed and attached bathroom. Our second bedroom is used as a nursery and has a crib. Bedroom #3 is a kids room with a regular sized twin bed. Room #4 is used as an office and has a double sized futon. Bedroom #5 is a guest room with a queen bed.

The house is a single story with an attached garage.
Notes
This is a great house for kids as we have a nursery and older kid's room plus a designated "playroom". Plenty of toys, beach equipment (umbrella, chairs, sand toys, towels, boogie board....)
**We have a sweet 3-legged cat named Cleo. She does not travel with us and loves all people both not other animals. She is mostly indoors**

Neighbourhood
Our house is a 2 minute walk to a large park with a playground and baseball area. Down the street the other direction is another park with public tennis courts and a dog park. 4 blocks away is the entrance to a large open space that includes a lake with ducks and swans, walking paths and great bird watching. There is a small train museum and historical home-turned-museum attached to the open space that feature free weekend events and summer outdoor concerts.
We live three miles from Goleta Beach, a free public access beach with a pier and restaurant. We are close to mountain hiking trails, large open spaces (Ellwood features beautiful cliffs over the ocean), 7 minutes to UCSB and a 12 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara.
Getting around
20 minute walk to a Sprouts Grocery Store, Starbucks, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. 5 minute drive to Target, Costco and other big box stores. 12 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara. 5 minute drive to the closest beach.

Alexandra
We are Alexandra and Andy. A couple in our mid-30's with two young and active boys. Andy likes to run and backpack, Alexandra likes to read and travel. Well we both enjoy traveling but Alexandra is the travel planner and researcher of the family. Our boys love playing outdoors, riding bikes, trains, and basically any form of transportation.
