Georgetown apartment: near metro, restaurants, sites

As the old real estate adage says, location, location, location! Take advantage of being in the middle of everything. Our apartment is on the second floor in a stately brick building along a tree-lined street. The apartment is walking distance to so much, but at the same time the bedroom overlooks a quiet dead end street, so noise is not an issue.
We have two bedrooms. One has a queen-sized bed. The other room is our son's room - currently we have a toddler-sized bed but will transition to a "real" bed soon. We have an inflatable mattress that could be used in the our son's room and/or the living room.
Available in the apartment: TV with Roku/Netflix/Amazon streaming/basic cable; wireless Internet. Kitchen includes toaster oven, microwave, pots, pans, etc. Laundry machines are in basement. No dish washer or coffee maker. (7-11 is a block away if you want to pick up coffee there.) Pets and smoking are not allowed. If you are here during the summer, our air conditioning is provided by units in each room.
2nd floor; must walk up stairs.
We love our apartment neighbors, some of whom you might meet for the key pass-off.
For 2019, we might consider weekend/long weekend exchanges not involving much travel, so feel free to ping me to check. We are open to planning ahead for 2020!

Sites within 15 minutes walking distance include: the Phillips Collection, Dumbarton Oaks, Dumbarton House, "Embassy Row" on Massachusetts Avenue, Georgetown shopping, Georgetown historic neighborhood, the Woodrow Wilson House, Georgetown canal and waterfront, the Society of the Cincinnati, and the Kalorama neighborhood where famous residents include the Obamas.
The number of restaurants within one mile is 892 according to Yahoo last I checked. Walk to a beer specialty bar three blocks away, the Georgetown waterfront, M Street shops in Georgetown, various offerings in Dupont Circle, and more. A block away are a well-stocked 7-11, a liquor store, and dry cleaners.
While being central to many sites and restaurants, our apartment is also on a residential street without much noise. The bedroom overlooks a dead end street.
Go down a path across the street, and you are in Rock Creek Park, a great place for running, walking or biking, right in the middle of the city.
If you are traveling with children, a great park with jungle gym (as well as tennis courts and basketball) is just two blocks away. The Georgetown waterfront has a fountain that kids can run through and play in during summer months.
We are near public transportation: a bus stop is on our corner and the Dupont Circle metro is a 12 minute walk away. The bus stop on our corner is for the D1, D2, D3, and D6; a block away is a stop for the G2. The closest Capital Bikeshare stop is .4 miles away.
If you drive to get here, we can get you a visitor permit to park on the street. Spaces on our block are available easily during the day on a weekday, but harder on other days/times – there are two different areas three blocks away where we’ve typically seen spaces during other times.
