Beautiful, modern home with an epic view of Denali and the Alaska Range. It's an easy five mile drive (or bike) to Talkeetna but when you're looking out towards the Alaska range you can't see any other buildings and it feels like you're in the wilderness. House resides on the bluff above Twister Creek (a great local IPA made by Denali Brewing). The home is off the grid, so you'll have solar panels generating any power you use. Fresh, organic towels and bedding. Fully stocked kitchen, deck, bbq grill and fire pit area. The house was completed in December of 2018 so everything is new with an eye towards sustainability.
Thoughtfully designed to maximize the view in all parts of the house, there is a full panorama of Denali and the Alaska Range from this modern, newly constructed house. You can even see Denali from the shower!
Two floors. Also, the road is not maintained during the winter months so you have to walk in from October to May. This is about .4 of a mile.
This is an off the grid home so there is some special care required. There is also a wood stove for heating.
First aid kit
Unsuitable for infants under 2
Unsuitable for children ages 2-12
Pets not allowed
Talkeetna is a wonderful little town. It is a big tourist destination in the Summer months but things slow down considerably in the winter. There is a coffee shop, local brewery, and bakery open year round. In the winter Talkeetna is a great place to see the Northern Lights or Aurora- you can see them from inside the house! It is also a great place to cross-country ski and fat bike. In the Fall and Spring there is great hiking and other activities in the area.
This is a home where you will need to have a vehicle. You can rent one in Anchorage. This is where you will fly into. From Anchorage it is about a 2.5 hour drive.

I love traveling like to travel to new places. Right now I'm learning Norwegian so I'm mostly interested in the Scandinavian countries. South Africa, Columbia, and Croatia are also high on my list.
