General overview

Comfortably newly renovated and refreshed cabin in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Best warm weather skiing in America, a three-span Zip Line with stunning views that rises above 11,000 feet and reaches over 8,900 feet in length, making it one of the longest ziplines in the world. Truly the wild, wild west, where Billy the Kid had his hideout, the shootout and where he was held and escaped from jail. Lincoln National Park at Cedar Creek, just a mile away, offers great hiking and mountain bike trails. Inn of The Mountain Gods has the top Golf Course on a Native American Reservation along with one of the nicest casinos in the southwest, with tables, slots, sports gaming and restaurants. Great horse racing at Billy the Kid Race track and Casino. Great golf at the Links nearby, disk golf and horseback riding. Fun shopping and dining as well, plus tubing and lots of fun places for kids to go as well.

Getting around

You will need a car and 4WD during the winter months. Even if there is no snow in town, the ski resort is at 11,000+ feet and they do require 4WD or snow chains to access the ski area.
