General overview

Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia boasts kilometres of coastline, exceptional scenery, and rich culture—There are many reasons Cape Breton Island is one of the world’s top island destinations. Located on the northeastern tip of Nova Scotia on Canada’s East Coast, discover a place joined to the mainland by a causeway but separated by a uniqueness all its own. Here ancestry is deep and alive in the roots of our communities. Cape Breton Island, also called Unama’ki, is one of seven ancestral and unceded territories of the Mi’kmaq People. It’s a place where Aboriginal, Gaelic, and Acadian cultures carve out communities. Where awe-inspiring landscapes give way to outdoor adventure and proud history. Where roadways hug the coastline and the world’s largest inland sea is the perfect place to set sail. Every visit is the perfect opportunity to experience the best of our regions. Full of history and culture, Cape Breton Island, is where everyone leaves a piece of your heart! Located on a private three acre lot, our humble abode boasts a view of the strait of Canso. Build in 1956, our country home is on a hill and accessed by a tree line driveway. Lots of space to amble on the property or to explore the incredible Ceilidh Coastal Trail by foot or bike. 2022 - For the fifth consecutive year, Cape Breton Island has been ranked the No. 1 island in Canada in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best awards.

The space

Our home is well appointed and boasts an incredible cooks kitchen, complete with quartz countertops and a dual fuel range and every kitchen accessory known, including a Breville Coffee/Espresso machine and dedicated coffee bar. The main floor houses the kitchen, dining area, living room, Main Bedroom, Full Bathroom and a laundry room. From the back door and kitchen, your view is of an open field surrounded by trees where we often have deer grazing on fallen apples. From the front door, exit to the lawn with water views and comfortable patio furniture and simple, yet beautiful flower gardens. The second floor showcases three bedrooms. Two guest rooms, complete with dressers and closets and one bedroom with a single bed and desk for remote work. There is a half bath on the upper level.
