General overview

Big one bedroom apartment, typical of the early twentieth century (high ceilings, fireplaces, etc.) with a kitchen, a large bathroom, balconies at the front and at the back. The bedroom is on the quiet garden side. The apartment is on the first floor without elevator. I live in Saint Gilles, a neighborhood close to the center of Brussels and home of the Art Nouveau architecture style . It is a very nice and lively area with many cafes, bars and restaurants: cuisines from all over the world, wine bars, beer bars, etc. Several markets are held close by several times a week. The park of "Forest" is less than 5 minutes walk from my apartment. It's the garden of the neighborhood. Next to it, you will find the Duden Park, both parks are great for strolling, jogging or for a drink in the guinguette. Saint Gilles is adjacent to the center of Brussels. Many buses and trams are nearby, the international train station (Midi-Zuid) is 3 stops away, the Grand Place 15 minutes by tram and the historic district of Les Marolles is at 10-minute by foot. From the Midi train station, you can reach many Belgian cities within an hour: Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Mons, Charleroi, Liège, etc.
