Relax, rejuvenate and recharge in our lovely beachfront holiday home. Located on the iconic Gold Coast, Rainbow Bay is one of Australia's best kept secrets. Our sun drenched apartment is just metres from the white sand of Rainbow Bay Beach, providing gentle surf and crystal clear water, ideal for young children. It is also patrolled year round for added safety. Just nearby is Snapper Rocks, home to the annual international surfing competitions, the Quicksilver Pro & Roxy Pro. After a morning swim, wander up for breakfast by the beach in one of the many cafes (no shoes necessary and swim wear expected!). The day can be spent enjoying the beach under an umbrella, visiting an amusement park, exploring the hinterland, bushwalking or sitting on the balcony enjoying the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean while reading a book. For dinner, grab some fresh locally caught fish and chips and sit on the beach, or wander up to the Surf Lifesaving Club and enjoy a nice cold Australian beer while watching the surfers and the sunset! Our apartment is really well located to explore all the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales has to offer. Gold Coast Airport (10 min drive) allows for easy national and international travel to major cities in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, which makes Rainbow Bay an ideal place to base yourself. Beautiful Byron Bay is only 40 minutes drive through the luscious green New South Wales countryside. We have access to a range of outdoor activities, perfect for couples or those with young families. These include, fishing, snorkelling, surfing (including learn to surf lessons) and cycling. There is over 40 golf courses on the Gold Coast, as well as hiking on beautiful Mt Warning. The Gold Coast also hosts spectacular theme parks (including Sea World, Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet 'n Wild, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the Outback Spectacular), as well as the famous Surfers Paradise, known for its fabulous restaurants and buzzing nightlife. There is no "bad" time to visit this part of the world. We swim all year round and, from June to October, you can view Humpback Whales from our balcony! The temperature remains pleasant throughout the year, with the average daytime temperature around 20 to 25'C (68 to 77’F), and we boast over 300 days of sunshine annually. The apartment is on the 12th floor of the building, and accommodates 4 people, with a full laundry and a second toilet. There are friendly onsite managers who are in touch with local conditions and would be happy to assist you in exploring the local area. If you think you’d like to escape to our tranquil paradise contact us! We are open both simultaneous and non simultaneous swaps, and to any part of the world. For more information and photos, please visit our apartment's website, www.apartment39.com. We look forward to sharing this special part of the world with you! Carolyn

The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; a well-equipped gourmet kitchen with full-size fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher; a separate laundry with washer and dryer; flat screen televisions in the lounge and main bedroom with DVD players and cable TV and a bluetooth sound system.

Our neighbourhood is very much a sea side village. One of our favourite things to do after a gorgeous morning swim is to have breakfast at Cafe D'Bar which is high on the hill overlooking one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world, Snapper Rocks. When we feel like picking up the pace, we head to Surfers Paradise or Byron Bay. Walking in the area is not only good exercise but a great way to get around. It is an easy walk to supermarkets, coffee shops, cinemas and restaurants. The locals are relaxed and very friendly and happy to share their favourite fishing or surfing spots.

Within walking distance of the apartment is a major shopping centre with both of the major Australian supermarkets (Coles and Woolworths) as well as many specialty shops. Also close by is the main street of Coolangatta with banks, cinemas, a post office and specialty shops.
