General overview
Our townhouse is in a well-kept, quiet, gated neighborhood with a very nice community swimming pool. It is less than 1/2 mile (under 1km) from The Orleans Hotel & Casino. It is near West Tropicana Blvd. and Decatur Ave just 10 minutes west of the MGM Grand, New York New York Casino, etc. at the south end of the (in)famous Las Vegas Strip and just a 15-minute drive from McCarran International airport. Not far from shopping, restaurants, bus stop.
The space
We have 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a 2-car garage. This is a gated community with a swimming pool. We keep it well stocked with essentials and have information regarding nearby shopping and attractions.
Guest access
Since we actually live in another state, our guests access the home on their own, with complete instructions from us. We don't have security or housekeepers, so everyone is expected to clean up after themselves. They also need to be certain of securing the property when they leave.
Notes
We don't have internet at the house, most people bring a hotspot. There is a Starbucks a block away.

Neighbourhood
Our house is in a townhome/apartment community. There are multi-family homes all around it. 1 block off of Tropicana Ave, about 2 miles from the Strip. There are people out on the streets 24 hours a day - but that is Vegas. There are gambling machines in every grocery store and gas station - and there will always be people sitting there spending their money. This close to the strip is always busy 24 hours a day. The city that never sleeps.
Getting around
We recommend a car, as there is a lot to do that is "off" the strip, but taking a cab or Uber type of ride to the strip is not a bad option. The Strip itself has very much traffic, 24 hours of the day. Driving is not fun, but looking around is. There is a city bus stop 1 block away on Tropicana.
