This is our second home, located in the Ebro-Delta (180 km south of Barcelona). It is in a little village with white houses near the beach.

The house offers 4 bed-rooms, a bathroom and a large living-room with an open kitchen. It has a roof-terrace and a wonderful patio with fruit-trees and flowers. There are a lot of toys and beach equipment for children. The patio is very appropriate for small children, because they can play outside without leaving the protected area of the garden.

You need a car to get arround.

The house has no air-condition, but offers ventilators in all the rooms which keep a nice fresh ambient even in summer.

The Ebro-Delta is a very nice place. Although it is costal area, it still keeps its original rural character, which is not easy to find in Spain anymore. It offers long beaches without any type of construction and only few people even in summer. You can go by bike (we have 5 bikes here), watch birds, go by kayak, do kite-surf,… and lots of other activities. The beaches are ideal for small children, because the water is not too deep. The closest mountains are “el Montsia” (30 minutes by car) and “Els Ports” (60 minutes by car). Here you can do hiking, mountain biking, climbing,… The food in the Ebro-Delta is very special. It is influenced by the landscape which is a mixture of sea and land. So you have salt- and sweet-water fishes, all types of paellas, because we have our own rice here and a lot more things to discover. The small village is a quiet and safe place for children. It offers a public swimming pool (only open in summer), there are two playgrounds, some basic sports-installations and other kids to play with. Some family owned restaurants and bars offer good regional food. Each Sunday there is a little market near the church, but there is no other shop! Member description
We are a Catalan - German family of 4 members. My husband works as a teacher for mountain-scouts, I work in market research, our kids are a 17 year old girl and a 12 year old boy. We are experienced home-exchangers and very convinced that this is an enriching way to spend our holidays. During the 6 years of doing home-exchange, we had the chance to spend time in very different places and meet inspiring people.Thank you!
