You’ll be very welcome here! The Woodlands Home has been the backdrop for many sweet memories in
my family. Maybe it’s time to do the same for yours!
Enjoy the wild Southern Oregon Coastal beaches: agate
hunting, fishing, clamming, crabbing, fat tire biking, sunset watching, sand castle building, beach combing, storm watching, more –ing than you can imagine!. All activities seasonal, but every season has its activities!
Nearby golfing is amazingly popular at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (No, I don’t golf, which is why I call it amazing
that it’s popular!), and then there are local state parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, lighthouses and more to explore.
The house is between the quaint burg of Bandon and Oregon’s Bay Area, what we call Oregon’s Adventure Coast.
Der Raum
The Woodlands is named for the woodlands in which it is surrounded; forested seclusion set atop a hillside above the Coquille River. A large yard is kept tidy and is amazingly inviting - with a fire pit to enjoy when we aren't in high fire season. The entire house is roomy, furnished with comfort in mind and a kitchen where one loves to cook. I live in the house, but leave when it's rented out - either staying in my nearby motorhome or visiting points elsewhere. All that is to say that you won't find a shortage of supplies or equipment for your stay.

Main living is on the first floor, as well as the master bedroom suite and laundry area with half bath. The master bedroom holds one king bed. There is a full size bathtub/shower combo in the bathroom.
Second floor houses a lounge, two bedrooms and a full bath. One of the upstairs bedrooms houses a queen bed, the other bedroom has 2 twin xlong beds. This bathroom has a door that separates the vanity area from the toilet/shower room. The shower is roomy, but does not have a bathtub.
The hot tub is roomy enough for 4 adults and is kept clean, warm and inviting. Access is through either the living area or immediately off the master bedroom.
Anmerkungen
The home is kid friendly, but my insurance limits me to accepting guests older than age 5. That is a distinction I cannot make very clear here.
Country living sometimes requires a little additional care: a septic system means paying attention to what cannot be flushed or sent down sink drains. Also, that having full-on internet is not possible. I can get fast internet with data caps, or slow internet without data caps. My choice? The fast and add Dish Network. :)

My neighborhood IS the woods! Well, and a cranberry farm through which you must traverse to arrive at this house. Yes, unpaved roads for about 1/2 mile, but the destination is well worth itthe.Driving here entails a meander alongside the Coquille River which is influenced by tidal variations. The best method for travel here is by car. This is a rural destination with no public transportation except for local taxi services. The home is about a 10 minute meandering drive along the river to the nearest town of Bandon - which has full services and is a sweet tourist destination city. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort draws a large clientele (many stay here!) and it is a short 10 minute pleasant drive, too.
If you don't mind a little more of a drive (about 30 minutes) you can be in the heart of a trio of State Parks near the mouth of Coos Bay. To learn more about what to do in our area search for Oregon's Adventure Coast. We are certainly outdoorsy!!
