Our home is located in the heart of Bolivia in the city of Cochabamba. Cochabamba is known as the city of eternal spring and you can never come at a bad time! Our quiet residential area is nestled at the base of the Andes just a 10 minute taxi ride ($3) or truffi/bus (.40c) from the city centre.......it is the perfect place to base yourself whilst you explore the best Bolivia has to offer.
Photos of our home will be uploaded once we are finished furnishing it but it will be comfortable and homey for you......but you can start to dream now!
We are more than happy to help you with planning and when you arrive with anything you need to make your stay memorable. If you need anything we will gladly be here for you and would happily show you some of our favourite places
Der Raum
As we have moved into our home in the middle of the pandemic it is not yet fully furnished but I promise it will be when you get here! There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, a small sitting area and bathroom. Downstairs is a spacious lounge/dining area and a small but functional kitchen and an additional toilet.
My favourite space is outside where you will find a nice patio with a comfy couch to relax on, an outdoor clay oven, bbq, sink and toilet. Fairy lights create a beautiful atmosphere to relax to at night

We have 24 hour electricity and town water for part of the day, a reserve and pump carry water to the house for the rest of the time
Our home is very safe and secure in a quiet residential area.

We are just a short stroll to the local shops and markets where you can buy your daily needs. La Cancha, South Americas largest outdoor market is a 10 minute taxi ride away and here you will find everything you need....and don't need! It is an amazing place that if you venture into you will become lost and enjoy every moment of it! Cochabamba is known as the gastronomical centre of Bolivia and plays a large role in the community with street and market food available everywhere for very little
Bolivia is a nature lovers paradise with so much to see, do and explore. An ancient and unique culture, we have 36 unique indigenous groups and over 70 different languages. It is a diverse and amazing culture enhanced by the diversity of nature. Bolivia offers something for everyone from the tropics of Beni to the dry south of Tarija, the famous salt pans of Uyuni and the high barren altiplano to the beautiful Lake Titicaca bordering Peru you will fall in love with this beautiful land, it's people, it's colour and it's unique wildlife
Cochabamba isn't a tourist town but there is a lot to see and do and soak in. Take a cable car to the top of the hill Cristo de la Concordia where the 2nd largest Christ statue in the world sits offering spectacular 360 views of the city, tour the glittering Palacio Portales or visit the Santa Teresa convent for a fascinating look back in time
For something a little more challenging why not hike Mt Tunari or challenge yourself to hiking high altitude in some of the most amazing landscapes the Andes have to offer

Taxis buses and truffis are just a short 2 blocks away for transport around Cochabamba. International and interdepartmental transport (bus and truffi) are around 15 mins by taxi and we are approx 20 minutes to the airport
From our home in Cochabamba you can explore Bolivia from the tropics to the alti plano.....in the centre of Bolivia it is a great place to base yourself whilst you explore
